FADICA Report for NACPA Members

We would like to share the following information from FADICA (Foundations and Donors Interested in Catholic Activities) ---

We are excited to share FADICA's new report, "Open Wide the Doors to Christ: A Study of Catholic Social Innovation for Parish Vitality."  The study was conducted by researchers Marti Jewell, D.Min. and Mark Mogilka, MSW, MA.  You know first-hand as leaders in this area and from your own work running national Catholic organizations that vibrant parishes are invaluable partners in mission.

The study identified factors that are essential to the vitality of a parish, giving equal emphasis to relational Leadership that ensures the inclusion of lifelong faith formation in the Word, meaningful Worship experiences and Service to the parish community and beyond.

FADICA’s member working group on Church vitality also selected four focus lenses for the study:  Welcoming Parishes, Hispanic Ministry, Young Adults, and Women and Women Religious in Leadership.

The Executive Summary is attached and the full study can be found here on our Catholic Social Innovation Initiative webpage.

We invite you to share this report with other leaders in your network as you see fit.  We will be sharing it broadly, and we welcome your feedback as well as other ideas for sharing the report.

We join you in prayer for our country today, in asking for God’s blessings of peace, justice, and healing.

Thank you for your leadership,

Alexia
